What to expect on Sunday mornings

Our people love people. We aim to make everyone feel welcome. We want you to become a part of our faith community, and that starts with your first visit.

When and Where?

You can experience a friendly welcome at Living Water, which meets at Childs Elementary School, 7300 Bemis Road, Ypsilanti, MI, 48197. Our worship begins at 11:00 a.m. each Sunday in the gym.

What to Wear?

We treat everyone like family. We want you to feel like Living Water is your home, so dress comfortably. Make yourself at home.

What About the Kids?

We believe each child is unique and precious, created in the image of God.

In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Children are important to Jesus. And children are important to us at Living Water. We have a fun, safe place for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers to play in our Worship Care area starting at 10:45 a.m.

Meet with our caregivers and ask a few questions. We want you and your kids to feel comfortable and secure. If you have kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade they can stay with you in the gym for the first couple of songs. Then we have them follow the AWANA leaders to the cafeteria where they have games, story time and Bible learning activities.

Free Coffee

If you come a little early for worship, feel free and get to know a few folks while drinking some coffee in the lobby outside the gym. This coffee and conversation happens from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Shake a few hands, or just sit back and watch the people come in. It’s up to you!

No Pressure

Now that you’ve had some coffee, head on into the gym. We have a rule here at Living Water: no one is ever singled out or embarrassed. Don’t worry, you’ll blend right in.

The Music

You can listen to some contemporary songs led by our worship team and if you come often enough, you might find yourself singing along. Listening is fine, too, though, if singing is not your thing. We sing about four songs most mornings before the message.

The Message

After a few songs, Pastor Clark will deliver a message you can apply to life right now – a message with a purpose.

Our Gift to You

Okay, so you’ve checked in the kids, had some coffee, enjoyed some music, heard a practical message and then…Yup there it is…the offering basket on a table in the back of the gym. Here at Living Water we have another rule: The offering is for those who call Living Water home. If you’re a guest, sit on that wallet. This service is our gift to you.

Just Ask

We hope that your first visit to Living Water will be a pleasant one. Our goal is to make everyone feel like family. If there is anything you need while visiting just ask and we’ll do our best to make you feel at home. We look forward to meeting you and your family.
